An orthodontic treatment involves two stages: that of active treatment and that of restraint.
During the active treatment stage, the teeth are straightened with the known orthodontic mechanisms, which the doctor activates at regular intervals. During the retention stage, the preservation of the result is achieved. The patient wears the special restraint mechanisms and visits the doctor’s office when the doctor deems it necessary. Both stages are very important for a proper final result.
